Let me be the first to say it—Welcome to 2025!
Last year, I started a tradition of reflecting on the new year, and here I am again, penning my thoughts for the journey ahead.
2024 was a year of Consolidation, a year where the scattered puzzles of my life came together, creating a picture that finally made sense. It was a year of clarity and solidification, one where I fully stepped into my God-given assignments.
But 2025? I sense something different, something bigger.
2025 is the year of Enlargement. This is the year where God will surpass expectations, stretch boundaries, and expand territories all for His Glory.
The image that comes to mind is a snail transforming into a beautiful butterfly, breaking free, and soaring. 2025 is the year where God carries His children on eagles' wings, taking us places we could only dream of.
Scriptural Anchor:
"Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes." (Isaiah 54:2)
With that in mind, here’s what I’ll be doing differently in 2025 and why:
1. Abiding in God's Presence
This year, my priority is to stay deeply rooted in God's presence. As Dunsin Oyekan aptly said during Reboot Camp, “The presence of God is the center of gravity; it pulls the right things to you and pushes the wrong things away.”
In 2025, my secret place will be non-negotiable. It’s the year for quality Bible study (I go read my bible gan.. lol!), consistent prayer, and intentional time with God.
To make this a reality, I’ll establish systems of accountability and lean entirely on God’s help—because truly, “It is God who works in us both to will and to act according to His good purpose” (Philippians 2:13).
2. Taking Giant Strides
This year, Toluwanimi X Doings will become a reality. I’ll be stepping into bold, audacious moves that will absolutely blow my mind. But let me emphasize, this isn’t about ambition or building a name for myself. It’s about yielding to God and being a vessel for His assignments.
Think of Peter walking on water in Matthew 14:29; it was bold, it was audacious, but it was God-ordained. That’s the energy for 2025.
3. Prioritizing Soul-Winning
This year, I’m putting intentional effort into evangelism. My goal? To win 25 souls by July 2025. I’ll achieve this by stepping out, sharing the gospel, and creating opportunities for people to encounter Jesus.
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives.” (Proverbs 11:30)
4. Stewarding Money Better
Money is a trust, and in 2025, I’m determined to steward it with wisdom. Every naira and dollar that passes through my hands is God’s, and He expects me to manage it intentionally.
This means better budgeting, tracking, and scaling my finances while living with the understanding that “It is required in stewards that one be found faithful”(1 Corinthians 4:2).
5. Touring Nations
This is the year where Toluwanimi of Nations begins The journey to the nations! Punchline activated. 😌
"Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession (Psalm 2:8)”
2025 is going to be THAT year, if you prioritize and approach it with intentionality, especially in spending quality and quantity time with God.
So here’s to enlargement, audacity, and abiding. May 2025 be the year where we truly soar!
